Notes

Your containers manage your apps. K8s manages your containers.

And your storage, keys, logs, resources, DNS, etc. Consider is a generic platform for managing “deployments” of containers and integrations for stuff surrounding it.

Terminology

• A Pod can be thought of as a running container.

• You application may consist of many pods.

• A Node is analogous to a “machine” or “server” (physical/virtual) that would normally host your apps. A node has many pods.

• A Control Plane is a node that controls the other “worker” nodes, and is a core part of every k8s deploy.

• A Cluster is a collection of nodes and the control plane.
